TCR UK 2021: Report from Oulton Park | Race 8 & 9

Date: 20/07/2021
Track: Oulton Park

QUALIFYING
Lewis and Bradley qualified in 4th and 5th respectively ahead of the weekends races.

RACE DAY

Race 1: The first race of the weekend saw Bradley on the podium, finishing in third place and Lewis coming in at 5th position. A decent race for the team, especially considering Alex Morgan who finished in second place was a guest driver and therefore not eligible for points.

Race 2: It was a frustrating race for Bradley who, after the Green Flag lap, had to pull into the pits due a sensor issue. Once fixed, he re-joined the race, but at that point was nearly a lap down on the rest of the field. Despite finishing the race laps down, he did register the fastest lap of the day proving yet again that he is real Championship contender. But for Lewis Kent, it was a resounding win and one that made him the only driver to score three victories so far this season. In doing so, he extends his Championship lead to 51 points ahead of Hart.

CONCLUSION
All in all another successful weekend.

LEWIS KENT: “I really didn’t expect to win today. We came into the weekend with a slight leak which kept on dropping oil into the clutch, so every time I changed up it slipped a bit. It’s great to come away from the weekend with more points and to extend my lead in. the drivers’ standings. I’ve raced against Alex [Morgan] before in Europe and in the UK, so I’m especially pleased with how the day has turned out.”
