RACE DAY

Race 1: After a great start, Lewis and Bradley were joined nose to tail in first and second place after turn one. Chris Smiley managed to make his way past Lewis on lap two just as the heavens opened; causing the race to be stopped and restarted. The second start saw Bradley struggle with the wrong setup of his car due to the rush between starts and this saw him drop down the pack rapidly to finish in tenth place. However, this did mean he would be on pole for the top ten reverse grid. Lewis once again was able to capitalise from this and forced his way into the lead pulling away from his competitors and taking the first victory for the Veloster in the UK. Scott also struggled with the conditions of the changing track and stayed in his starting position of P18.

Race 2: With Bradley starting on pole and Lewis starting P10 the team were confident about race two. However, after a rough start, Bradley lost the lead on the opening lap dropping back to P5 while his tyres were still cold. Bradley soon started to work his way back to the front of the grid and battled hard to get back into P1, but then disaster struck whilst coming through the pack, as he picked up damage to his car leading to a front puncture and dropping him down to P20 and a couple of laps down. Meanwhile Lewis charged through the pack from his P10 start came through to finish a brilliant P3, securing another podium at Brands Hatch. Scott improved from his last race moving up to P16.

Race 3: Race three saw the starting grid determined by drivers second quickest qualifying time meaning Bradley once again started from Pole, with Lewis P3 and Scott P16. A good start from all three drivers saw them gain positions with Lewis tucking in behind Brad for P2 and Scott moving up the grid. After a long fight with fellow Hyundai racer Alex Ley and Adam Sheppard, the Two Kent Brothers would cross the line in P3 and 4. Bradley Leading Lewis over the line. However, after a review from the clerk of course, Bradley was given a 15 second time penalty for track limits dropping him down to P14, in turn this moved Lewis up to P3 giving him 3 out of 3 podiums for the weekend, Scott improved again with more confidence in the car to finish in P12.
