QUALIFYING
TCR UK were back at Oulton Park for the second time this year and qualifying started with the Essex and Kent Motorsport team struggling to get up to pace and grips with their cars after a successful Brands hatch. It was Bradley who lead the trio home with a P12 followed by Lewis in P14 and Scott bringing them home with a P18 leaving them plenty of work to do on race day.
RACE DAY
Race 1: Race one started slowly for the team with our drivers picking people off slowly. Bradley and Lewis had worked their way into the top ten when, with just three laps to go Bradley was forced to pull into the pits for yet again another DNF due to car troubles. Lewis ended the race in ninth, five places further up than his qualifying position giving him the P2 outside start for Race 2 alongside Matthew Wilson. Scott also had a unfortunate DNF leaving Lewis to be the team’s only finisher.
Race 2: After a blistering start in race 2 Lewis came out of the first corner in first place and built a nice gap ahead of the cars behind him. However, after struggling to find traction in the Veloster N, he slipped up and let two cars through that then lead to them having contact and damaging Lewis’s front splitter. Lewis crossed the line in fifth place but due to the damage and under steer that came with it he received a 10 second penalty for track limits and dropped to P11. Bradleys luck once again wasn’t with him, meaning he would pull off after only 6 laps and having another DNF. Scott would also DNF after only 9 laps of racing.
