QUALIFYING
Just like he did in France, Lewis struggled due to the reduced power the Hyundai now had to run on and qualified in 4th place.
RACE DAY
Race 1: Lewis had his usual great start making up 2 places only to lose them later in the race, with Lewis now in 4th he followed the three front running cars closely hoping to benefit from any mistakes they made. And sure enough the cars in 2nd and 3rd collided letting Lewis through to 2nd place and 1st in class (TCR) – a position he held onto until the finish.
Race 2: Lewis started 2nd on the grid following his great drive in race 1 with reduced power and again he had a tremendous start going into the lead. With three cars following close behind, Lewis showed terrific maturity for somebody who is still only 20 and drove his own race not worrying about those cars behind, and at the finish took the outright win by just fractions of a second and increasing his TCR UK Championship lead.
