The annual Autosport International show took place between the 9th and 12th January 2020 at the NEC in Birmingham. Lewis was invited to demonstrate the Hyundai i30N TCR car in the live arena. Over the 4 days there was 12 shows with an estimated crowd of some 15 thousand spectators. Continue reading
Following races 7 & 8 at Brands Hatch, Lewis was 19 points behind in the Championship. Knowing how good Lewis can be on the Donington track, we felt that he could make up these points giving him the Championship and Essex & Kent Motorsport the team title. Continue reading
This was a British GT championship weekend and Lewis was invited to race in the BRSCC Sports & Saloon Car Trophy. Bearing in mind that the next round of TCR was also at Donington it seemed an ideal opportunity of getting some competitive practice.
Having had never raced the Hyundai in the wet before, the team had to guess as to what the set up should be. The bigger teams that we were up against therefore had a lot more information on wet set up than we did. This coupled with the fact that Lewis was carrying maximum success ballast of 60KG following his clean sweep at the last meeting at Croft, meant we were up against it from the start. Continue reading
Lewis went to Croft full of confidence having been the fastest driver at the circuit last year coupled with the fact that he showed in the last round at Donington that he was more than capable of winning. Continue reading
The team had the opportunity of competing in a one off race meeting for the BRSCC Saloon Car Trophy for all types of saloon car, an ideal opportunity for Lewis to try the TCR Hyundai under competitive conditions ready for the new season. Continue reading
